Guiyang Symphony Orchestra

The Guiyang Symphony Orchestra was established in 2009 as China's first professional orchestra founded through private entrepreneurial initiative. Since its inception, it has received active support from the local government. From the beginning, the orchestra has recruited musicians globally and adopted the internationally recognized "music season" operational model. Over the years, it has collaborated with over a hundred renowned conductors, soloists, and vocalists from China and abroad, including internationally acclaimed masters, influential artists, and talented rising stars. Over the past 16 years, the orchestra's performances have reached numerous cities across China and gradually gained international recognition, with appearances in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and several European countries.

The Guiyang Symphony Orchestra continues to provide opportunities and platforms for young musicians while steadfastly promoting music education and outreach. In 2013, the orchestra's founder established the "Guiyang Symphony Orchestra Music School" in the scenic Guanshanhu Park, allowing the orchestra's musicians to share the musical knowledge and skills they acquired from around the world with music learners in Guiyang. This initiative enriches and systematizes the music learning process, enabling more people to express emotions through music and encouraging learners to step onto larger stages.

In 2018, the orchestra founded the "Guiyang Symphony Orchestra Youth Orchestra," providing a professional platform for music learning and artistic practice for young people in Guiyang and across Guizhou Province.

The Guiyang Symphony Orchestra exists for music. Since its founding, we have maintained accessible ticket prices to share classical music with all audiences, offering student tickets at ￥15 and Community Benefit Tickets at 50% discount for special groups.

We remain committed to our founding aspiration of making refined art accessible to all. Through our cultural outreach programs and educational initiatives, we strive to bridge the gap between classical music and the general public. The orchestra maintains a resilient and vibrant spirit, carrying the support and expectations of our audience. We are dedicated to delivering excellent musical performances while enthusiastically working to cultivate classical music appreciation in our community, staying true to our original vision while moving forward continuously.
